The site of dock where battleship Yamato was built
From this hill we can get a full view of the shipyard of IHI (Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.). There used to be the Kure naval shipyard, and the battle ship Yamato was made here in absolute secrecy. Unfortunately the dock that built her was filled up in 1993, but the framework of big roof to conceal her hull has been still left.
