Pics of 1:10 battleship Yamato and 1:1 Film Set were printed in the Italian military magazine!
June 08, 2007
About 1 year ago, I received an e-mail from Dr. Maurizio Brescia who is an Italian naval freelance journalist and a cooperator of "STORIA MILITARE", an Italian military monthly magazine. He offered me permission to use the pictures of 1:10 scale battleship Yamato in Kure Yamato museum and 1:1 scale film set at Onomichi in this web site. He and publisher had thought that a short article about 2 big scale replicas in Japan could be very interesting for their readers. I cooperated with him with pleasure because it was a real honor for me.

And last month, May 2007 issue of STORIA MILITARE with the article about the Yamato museum and the 1:1 scale film set was published in Italy at last! I received a copy of sample from him.

I heard that the official DVD of Yamato movie is released in some European countries recently, and there are quite a few people that appreciate this movie. I am very flattered as the Japanese to hear this matter. (To my regret, so far I do not hear this movie shown at a theater or sold as DVD in other regions.)

To tell the truth, several Western publishers ever offered me. And actually published magazine is only Monthly STORIA MILITARE until now. I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Tuttostoria and Dr. Maurizio Brescia that published such a great article.
