Mitsubishi A6M7 Zero Fighter Type62, Serial No. 91518 produced by Nakajima
This zero fighter was belonging to the 210 naval air squadron of the Meiji air base. It landed on the water of Lake Biwa-ko, Shiga Prefecture by engine trouble in the evening of August 6, 1945. The pilot was Lieutenant Tsuneo Azuma. It was salvaged from the lake in January, 1978.
The engine that is exhibited on this side is "Sakae type 31 Kou".
