Kaiten Type 10 prototype
The Kaiten was a suicide weapon that was called "human torpedo". My uncle belonged to this corps in wartime. Luckily, he was not killed in action because the war was over before his sortie.
This torpedo was exhibited in a certain used car shop in Honolulu, Hawaii about 40 years ago, and was exhibited by the garden of a certain Japanese‐style restaurant in Kyoto until recently. And it was donated to Yamato museum this time.
