Searchlight for the battleship Yamato
The searchlight for battleship Yamato was made by Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. The diameter was too big size 150 cm (5 ft) and could shine to 12,000 m (7.5 mile) along. Eight searchlights were installed with battleship Yamato, but they were decreased to six when the remodel for antiaircraft. The searchlights taken down from her were installed in an air defense institution of Kure. After the World War II, they were used to experiment on the solar furnace as a substage condenser.
