Yokota U.S. Air Base friendship day In 1996, Photo: by Inochan

Yokota base is the largest U.S. Air Force base in Japan except Okinawa. Although it was the airfield of Imperial Japanese army, it was confiscated by the Occupation Army after defeat of Japan. US Forces, Japan, and Commander, 5th Air Force have been located in it since then. Yokota base functions as home of the U.S. Air Force's only airlift hub in the Western Pacific.
Some U.S. aircraft were open to the public on that day.
